A place for students
Avenue Students (7th–12th grade) is a place for students to own their faith, live out their faith and lead others. Leading students to develop a faith of their own in Jesus Christ is the goal of our ministry. Our hope is to partner with parents in helping students go deeper with each other, their leaders and, most importantly, God.
Our Vision and Values
We believe that God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12), and that God works through His Word and Spirit to cause us to be born again (James 1:18) draw us closer to Jesus (Luke 24:44-45) and to root and ground us in love for Him and others (Ephesians 3:16-19)
We believe that God answers prayer, and that prayer is an acknowledgement of our dependence and need for God to work in our lives (Ephesians 1:16-19) and in the world around us (Matthew 6:10).
We believe that the Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection frees us from self-centered living so that we can live lives of loving, sacrificial service toward our neighbor (Mark 10:45). We are able to love sacrificially because God first loved us (Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:11-12).
We believe that God has called his people to follow Jesus together (1 Thessalonians 2:8). Only in biblical community can we live out the other three values on this list (Colossians 3:16, James 5:16, 1 John 3:16), and the Bible warns against failing to meet regularly (Hebrews 10:24-25).
When We Meet
Our MDWK gathering for students happens each Wednesday during the school year (August-May).
MDWK includes interactive activities, personal testimonies, bible studies, prayer, and more. Note: during the Summer months, Summer Wednesday takes the place of InterSect on Wednesday nights.
Students also gather for a bible study on Sunday mornings at 9:15a.
